Technological Initiatives

1. Jharkhand Gramin Bank has embarked on an ambitious technological initiative, named Gram SHAKTI, that is, introduction and implementation of Core Banking Solution in our branches. Project Gram SHAKTI is an ambitious and crucial project launched by our Bank to connect and inter-link all our existing branches numbering 217. This is being done to provide and integrate centralized banking solution. The roll out is scheduled to commence with implementation of Core Banking Solution (CBS), on Pilot Basis,  at two of our Branches, namely, Ranchi Branch (Ranchi Region), and Bhilaipahari Branch (Singhbhum Region). Once the two Pilot Branches are brought under CBS, the implementation shall begin at other Branches and the task is expected to be completed by September, 2010.
Our Core Banking Solution is based on “Finacle” Core Banking Solution, software developed by Infosys. Finacle is under use by a number of banks, both Indian as well as foreign banks. Once our branches are brought under Core Banking Solution, our bank will be moving to the category of all our competitors in terms of technology. With introduction of CBS at our branches, we shall be able to offer a number of additional services and facilities to our customers including the following:-
